Bluemont Vineyard sits on the side of a mountain in Bluemont overlooking what might be one of the amazing views I have seen from a winery in Virginia…one that reaches miles and miles and probably all the way into Maryland. While I have no doubt the view is lovely year-round, the autumn surely rivals the rest with the changing color of leaves complemented with flowers still in full bloom.
Saturday the weather was beautiful and we were lucky to have all day with nowhere to be…perfect for some wine adventures! We decided to stick fairly close to home in the Upperville and Middleburg area.
Kris and I set out last weekend to gather a few photos in preparation to launch the blog. Our plan was to visit a few wineries in Delaplane that we hadn’t visited, get some photos, and have some time to sit and relax so I could do some final edits and site configuration.
What is it they say about best-laid plans?
